Chapter Awards

Catherine Hubbard Dace American History Memorial Award

The award honors a charter member of our chapter, Catherine Hubbard Dace, who was the only female graduate of San Fernando High School in 1903. Ms. Dace had a strong commitment to the ideals of DAR that was reflected in her life. The award is presented each year to a graduating female, college bound student at San Fernando High School, San Fernando, CA.  Applicants are required to submit an essay on a topic related to DAR ideals.  Please contact us for more information.

ROTC/JROTC Awards

  • The San Fernando Valley Chapter awards an JROTC student each year at John F. Kennedy High School, Granada Hills, CA and John H. Francis Polytechnic Senior High School in Sun Valley, CA.
