San Fernando Valley Chapter, NSDAR
San Fernando, California

The San Fernando Valley Chapter, NSDAR, meets on the third Saturday of the month January through June and September through November inclusive. Our monthly hostesses open the doors at 10:30 a.m. for socializing before the meeting which starts promptly at 11 a.m. The monthly hostesses provide coffee, tea, water, dessert, and a small snack.

Members and guests may bring a brown bag lunch and we enjoy socializing from noon until 1 p.m. when our monthly program begins. Past program topics include “The Unseen Patriot”, “Guide Dogs America”; “Units Overseas”; “Nevertheless She Persisted”.

Twice a year we share a pot luck lunch for Thanksgiving at our November meeting and our spring meeting in June.

Members and prospective members can receive assistance in completing their application or supplemental. Research assistance is available at Southern California Genealogical Society, (SCGS), by appointment with a DAR volunteer.

Occasionally the San Fernando Valley Chapter, NSDAR, schedules lunches or day trips and activities for our members and prospective members to socialize and enjoy each other's company.
