Over 100 years of Service to God, Home, and Country!

The San Fernando Valley Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR),  was organized on April 19, 1917, and became the forty-third chapter in California on October 25, 1918.

Our chapter supports veterans at the Sepulveda Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in North Hills, California, in numerous ways. Including a coffee cart, Friday Night Bingo, donations of bus tokens, and drives for items most needed for our servicemen and women. In the past, we celebrated Vietnam veterans by honoring their service with a ceremony and commemorative pin at the American Legion Post in La Crescenta, California.

Each year the chapter awards the Catherine Hubbard Dace American History Memorial Award to an outstanding female graduating senior. We also work with local schools on the American History Essay Contest for students in the San Fernando Valley.

In addition to our monthly meetings held January through June and September through November, our members and prospective members meet for periodic day trips and dinners. Past activities include a historical nature walk, television show tapings, and a day at Disneyland for the Junior members. Please click here to visit our calendar for further information.

Please contact us for further information and join us for a meeting to get to know the many ladies of our chapter.
